I have just discovered the new Purl Bee blog from Purl Soho via Laural at Thimble who has her finger on the pulse. I discovered this store by chance when Mary introduced me to it when we visited NYC last year. I'm sure I'm not the first to experience the yarn lust and slight disorientation caused by too many tactile products calling my name all at the same time when entering this shop. Since then they have expanded into fabric as well. V. dangerous.
I'm still dreaming about making something else from the Manos handspun wool after the joy of knitting some up into a cosy scarf last winter.
They seem to have all the 'in' fabrics and quite a few designers I haven't seen before. Like the store itself the presentation of the site is very attractive. I'm especially liking their multi-faceted lists to browse by Company, Designer or Style. Not many websites provide all these options.
I've had my eye on the outragously cute Lightning Bugs by Heather Ross for some time and am loving new discoveries here and here.
Hi de-lurker, and thanks for outing yourself to wish me well. Not I can read your blog too! Thanks, Sooz
